News of the Week

The major news of the week came from autoevolution.com concerning the rumor that the Hyundai group is interested in licensing Lucid's electric motor for their upcoming Genesis X. What do you think about this potential deal?

This could be similar to the agreement Lucid previously made with Aston Martin, which was announced last June for 450 million USD. You can find more information about it in this link: [Link]

Lucid has announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Company (EVIQ). This collaboration aims to develop the necessary infrastructure for electric vehicles in Saudi Arabia. According to EVIQ's website (LINK), they have plans to construct 1,000 charging points with a total of 5,000 EV chargers spread throughout the Kingdom by 2030, ensuring convenient access wherever needed.

The PIF mentioned Lucid in their letter titled "How PIF is accelerating the future of mobility." They tweeted this from the PIF account on May 27th, discussing how Lucid will contribute to Vision 2030.

“Lucid has received $50 Million to train Saudi workers in all required departments before the opening of the Mega new factory in Saudi in 2026. Lucid is getting ready for the Mid-Size car.” Per Ananole1122 on X.

Lucid has recently grown by adding two new studios. The company entered the UAE market by launching a space in Dubai. Additionally, they opened their 11th location in the state of California this time in downtown Pasadena, California. They now have a total of 9 international studios and 29 studios within the United States.
