Lucid sets a new world record!

Week 4

This week is a special milestone for the Lucid Letter. We have secured our first sponsor for the newsletter. Jaan, is a long-time friend and industry expert. He runs the largest EV-related newsletter with over 8,000 weekly subscribers. He has been a true inspiration over the years and is the reason I started this newsletter.

With new projects come new connections. This week, I had the pleasure of meeting Janek Metzner, a former Lucid Motors employee and the lead product manager for charging and smart energy. Janek and his partner Julius Wilhelm have also become a sponsor for the Lucid Letter.

Please subscribe to both of their newsletters for more high-quality EV-related news and help to continue growing this amazing community!

Will the Midsize be named the Lucid Ocean?

Earlier this week, I shared on my X account (The_EVGuy) that Lucid had filed to trademark the name "Lucid Ocean". Scooter Doll of Electrek published an article on the 19th with more details about this. Do you think "Lucid Ocean" could be a future midsize model?

It would fit with the theme of Air, Gravity, Earth, and Ocean. What do you think?

The Lucid Air Set a new World Record!

A dedicated team of three adventurous men embarked on an extraordinary mission this week, aiming to set a new world record. Their ambitious challenge was to traverse as many countries as possible on a single charge of their electric vehicle. With determination and meticulous planning, they not only achieved their initial goal of crossing eight countries but also surpassed it, reaching a ninth country purely for the thrill of the adventure!

Gravity Updates

Trademark trial paused?

According to Lucid Oasis, earlier this week the trademark trial had filed a motion to suspend the case for 30 days. This gives us until July 18th to settle. Hopefully, this is a step in the right direction!

YouTube Review

As the highly anticipated release of the Lucid Gravity draws nearer, I have found myself rewatching various videos about the initial look at this groundbreaking vehicle. One of my favorite sources for these insights has been Motor Trend, which released an in-depth first look at the Lucid Gravity approximately seven months ago.

Thank you for becoming a part of this exciting new journey. Please share the news with all your other friends who are part of the Lucid community. If you have any recommendations or suggestions, please don't hesitate to email me at [email protected].
