News of the Week

Lucid breaks another record! I might sound like a broken record but Lucid has done it again and last month they set a world record for most countries visited on a single charge (Full story here) they have not set a new record for efficiency. Peter and his team have crossed the 5.0 miles per kWh raising the bar on efficiency.

This is huge news for Lucid and the EV industry. This new milestone will lead to smaller battery packs, fewer minerals used, cost reduction, and potential partnerships.

Lucid also announced changes to their 2025 lineup including:

  • standard heat pump on all models

  • new infotainment system

  • 5.0 miles kWh range in the 2025 Lucid Air Pure

Lucid CEO / CTO Peter Rawlinson sat down with Jason Del Rey this week at Fortune magazine’s Brainstorm tech. This interview was interesting, to say the least. I’m not familiar with Jason Del Rey and didn’t watch his other interviews but overall wasn’t a fan of this one. It was awkward, Jason interrupted multiple times, wanted to talk more about Tesla, and cared more about getting to the next topic than hearing what Peter had to say.

Lucid Oasis on X shared a post from Instagram from Lucid. He found that Lucid has the Fairmont resort in Miramar and has made Lucid Air their official house car. This allows guests staying on the resort to be driven around in Luxury. The Fairmont is located in Santa Monica, California and rates start at over 500 dollars a night.

As Lucid Oasis mentioned this isn’t their first deal of being a house car with previous deals announced for Rosewood Sand Hill which is also in California, Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois in Switzerland, Regent Hotel in Berlin Germany and Red Sea resorts in KSA.

If you are in the Chicago area, Newark California check out special events at their Lucid spaces.

At the Oak Brook space outside of Chicago Lucid will have the Sapphire on display until July 29th.

If you are in Newark California, check out the Prototype lineup. No set dates announced!
